Gonna post a late blog for y'all fine folk. This has already been a wild week emotionally. Stuff I don't want to talk about here involving friends and their emotional states and how my ability or inability to help affects my emotional states and boy howdy it's a mess.

TWO THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR (SPECIFIC)

1. I am grateful for my friend, Charleen. Without going into specifics I'm grateful that I could reach out to her at a moment when a mutual loved one was having a rough time and I couldn't help.

2. Hey, guess what, I get to be grateful for my friend, Nate for the same reason. He was there when a mutual loved one was struggling and once again, I couldn't help. In both cases, this was because I am in a different state, and long-distance support only goes so far.

ONE THING THAT WENT WELL DURING THE DAY

Well. I cried. Twice. And I successfully implement some of my therapist's advice to me. I also got feedback from the fine folks at Monte Cook games about my internship application that I am excited to ... well, implement. I suppose today was a day for implementing good advice.

ONE ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL ACTION ITEM FOR THE DAY

Today is functionally over, but my critical action item for the day was to revise my resume/cover letter to be more general for one of the companies I've been applying to. Up until now, I've targeted each position but I'm going to try for a more generalized approach.

WHATEVER IS ON MY MIND

I don't want to quote the application feedback I got directly but suffice it to say she was so supportive and encouraging that I was floored for a bit. Y'all know I've been struggling with depression a lot of late and this was just a beautiful little ray of positivity to brighten up my day.

All best,
