So I've already done most of my chores list today and I'm a little unsure what to do with this feeling in my chest. Is it pride? Can't be. I've said before being raised by a packrat bordering on hoarder made learning these skills challenging. I had to start from scratch.
TWO THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR (SPECIFIC)
1. So my old mechanic left his job but still answers my texts with advice when my car is acting up. I've got some hellish drain on the battery that no one can find, so my car dies if it sits for 3 days. Hard to feel grateful when the problem persists, but I still appreciate it.
2. I'm grateful for my ongoing weight loss journey. My 7-day average finally crept down to 205 pounds, which means I've lost 24 pounds total! I'm a few pounds away from being where I was when covid first rolled into town, and from there, like another 10 pounds to my goal?
ONE THING THAT WENT WELL DURING THE DAY
Okay, so yesterday did not go well. Cassie got a flat tire. It has these safety nuts that need a special tool. AutoZone had the tool. And my car's battery was dead. We turned her car around, jumped my car, went to AutoZone, got the tool, and got her spare tire on. Success?
ONE ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL ACTION ITEM FOR THE DAY
I just want to write. That's all. Is that too much to ask? No worries, I'll get it done. Just have to take Cassie to the tire shop to get her tire repaired, go back to my old bookstore where I've got some stuff stored in the basement, and take it to the storage unit. It's fine!
WHATEVER IS ON MY MIND
OH! I forgot about my informational interview! It was lovely. She was so gracious and generous with her time, and I learned a lot. Honestly, I kind of love these kinds of interviews, even if they make me hella nervous. I just love seeing a passionate window into their industry.
