To my great shame, I did not go walking yesterday in the 23°F snowstorm. So you'll have to make do with this very awkward video of me driving an eighteen-year-old Mustang through the snow. I know you're all very disappointed in me but no one more so than myself.

TWO THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR (SPECIFIC)

1. Once again we're charging into the weeds. I am so grateful for vacuum seal bags. Cassie and I managed to get seven bins of clothes (don't judge) down to three. Talk about a miracle. I mean, sure I also threw out like three bins worth of clothes to start off with but still.

2. Shout out my biweekly DM for following through on a warlock/archfey patron romance. Then because I'm playing a rogue multiclass I had to tender my resignation to my spymaster (who is very excited to have an agent in the feywild). Twas a good session.

ONE THING THAT WENT WELL DURING THE DAY

I was raised in a really unstable ... homes (divorced parents, neither thriving), so I learned to cling to my belongings. The last few weeks but yesterday especially I've let go of so many belongings that "no longer spark joy" and it's a deeply freeing feeling.

ONE ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL ACTION ITEM FOR THE DAY

Can I recover some spoons? I would like to order one collection of spoons. Today, what I really want to do is catch up on "The Last of Us", play "Miles Morales", and clean up yesterday's mess by putting on Deep Space 9 and zoning in.

WHATEVER IS ON MY MIND

After last night's game, I got to talk to the group a little bit about my upcoming Numenera campaign and turns out I have a few months (less than 12 more than 1) to prep my game. Which means I have so much time to procrastinate LET'S GO ... DO NOTHING UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE!
All best
Shane Z.

BOOK NOOK

Me, Myself, and Why
Jennifer Ouellette

I started reading this after Matt Mercer referenced it in a "5E Roundtable Discussion" with Matt Colville and other folks I don't want to acknowledge or talk about. Bit of a slog at first but the second half livened up. A good introduction to a lot of complicated topics.
