I spent the morning reaching out and inviting people to a birthday bash zoom meeting for when I turn 31 this weekend. I've done a few of these since the pandemic started but never where I've invited my friends and my siblings. I hope they get along?

TWO THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR (SPECIFIC)

1. I'm grateful that I have people in my life that I can invite to a birthday bash. With my depression and anxiety, the impulse to barricade myself against the world is sometimes hard to resist. I almost did this time but too late now I ALREADY INVITED PEOPLE.

2. I'm grateful for ... god what am I grateful for today? I'm grateful for the privilege I've had in taking so much time on my Adventure Module. It's hard in my brain, in my life, but I know I've had some really great opportunities getting this far.

ONE THING THAT WENT WELL DURING THE DAY

I got some solid writing done yesterday on my adventure module and I had some even better ideas for how to improve it. In this case, since it's a horror module, make it spoopier. Like instead of just finding a body, have the body fall on them when they open a door. SPOOPS!

ONE ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL ACTION ITEM FOR THE DAY

No new jobs to apply for (come on bosses what's the holdup?!) so my one responsibility is to tackle some ... say it with me ... writing! I could continue my work on the module or the novel. Not sure which one just yet. Probably the module, since it already has some momentum.

WHATEVER IS ON MY MIND

I feel like I'm spinning my wheels, folks. The job hunt has dragged into months. The writing too. Am I doing something wrong? Am I approaching this the wrong way? Do you have any advice for me (or job offers if any of you sexy sexy employers are reading this)?

All best
Shane Z.
