I try to keep up the positivity on here (stop sniggering it's true) but today can eat a dick. My car died because of an elusive electrical draw. My wife pulled her car around to jump it and got stuck in a snow drift. Finally freed her car, jumped my car. Still didn't start.
TWO THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR (SPECIFIC)
1. There is a Walmart checkout cashier named Mary, and she is just lovely to my wife and me when we come through. After all the car shenanigans seeing her was a real relief. Like, as bad as shit gets there are always nice people, kind people, helpful people.
2. I had a Zoom session with one of my upcoming players in my Numenera campaign to discuss character creation, mechanics, and just the general vibe of the campaign. It ended up shifting into a casual hangout chat that lasted a total of five and a half hours. I loved it!
ONE THING THAT WENT WELL DURING THE DAY
The character creation went so well! Jenni is building some kind of Delve that Controls Gravity (no descriptor yet). We were looking over background connections and she found one she liked that immediately sparked in my brain part of my worldbuilding. This is going to be sick.
ONE ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL ACTION ITEM FOR THE DAY
Look, I turn 31 tomorrow. My car died today (we did get the battery charged at O'Reilly Auto Parts (the guy dropped my battery but swears it's okay)). I am so ready for a break. All I've got to do today is make it to tomorrow. Cool? Cool.
WHATEVER IS ON MY MIND
Late-night Shane here: I legit thought I had posted today's blog. Not only had I not posted it I didn't even finish writing it. Woops! Fair's fair, today did not get better after the car dying/car getting stuck in snow/internet going out. But we pulled through.
