My wife's cat (for when he is a 5 am chaos goblin he is absolutely her cat) has interrupted three nights' sleep in a row.
I am so goddamn tired.
TWO THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR (SPECIFIC)
1. I am grateful for Stephen King's advice on pinning every rejection letter he received to his wall with a nail. I received a rejection letter from Sucker Punch games yesterday and now I'm going to print it and pin it (since it was an email and I live in a rental so no nails).
2. I am grateful for Beau of the Fifth Column. Why not? He's a Youtuber I was recommended not too long ago. He is one of the most astute political commentators I've watched even if he looks like someone I wouldn't have talked to when I lived in Arkansas. He's worth checking out.
ONE THING THAT WENT WELL DURING THE DAY
Small victory yesterday but I completed everything on my chores list. I was raised by such a cluttered packrat (bordering on hoarder but doesn't ... quite qualify) so all organization skills I have were developed in adulthood through trial and error. I prefer living this way.
ONE ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL ACTION ITEM FOR THE DAY
I honestly feel pretty shitty this morning (hoping it's just the cat messing up my sleep schedule), so I kind of just want to take today slow and see if I feel better. My anxiety is convinced I caught another round of covid. So fingers crossed that's not the case.
WHATEVER IS ON MY MIND
One thought on my mind is how my feeling under the weather will affect the day. Do I plan to go for my daily walk regardless? Do I plan to take a day to rest? Do I just wait and see how I feel when the day is a bit warmer?
I hate having to wait to find out. I wanna know now!
