I'm mentally prepping to drive to my in-laws for an overnight stay. Nothing to do with them, but I really hate traveling. Even a trip this short triggers my anxiety. I hate being away from my stuff. I have no idea where this insecurity comes from but it's here. Oh, boy is it here.

TWO THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR (SPECIFIC)

1. I am grateful for my roommate Bailie, who enlisted a friend to feed out nightmare goblin boi, Jagger, tonight and tomorrow. She's the best roommate we've had ... ever? And we have no social circle to draw upon in town so it really helped us out.

2. There is a litter of kittens (now adolescent cats) that live in the park I walk through every day and some stranger keeps putting out cat food for any passerby to put out for them. I dunno who this charitable stranger is but I salute them.

ONE THING THAT WENT WELL DURING THE DAY

... I read? Look, yesterday kinda sucked. I forgot to take my antidepressant at all and I took my antianxiety medication four hours later than usual so I was all over the place.

But I did sit down to read for an hour or two, so I'll call that a win.

ONE ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL ACTION ITEM FOR THE DAY

I mean, don't die in holiday traffic? That sounds nice. We have to go through Las Vegas on our way to the in-laws. I'm not excited.

WHATEVER IS ON MY MIND

<Screams in travel anxiety, seasonal depression, and several other incoherent combinations of consonants and vowels>

All best
Shane Z.
