2/2/2023, A Rested Morning

I finally feel like I got a full night of sleep (according to my health app, I slept for 9 hours) and damn I feel good. I feel ready to tackle the day. Which is good because I have a lot to do. Cassie found another job posting that's right up my alley.

TWO THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR (SPECIFIC)

1. I'm always grateful for my wife being as supportive as she's been on this job hunt. It would've been easy for her to hold it against me (if not over me) but she never has. It's such a relief to have someone in my corner rooting for me to find a good job instead of a stopgap job.

2. I'm grateful that I've learned techniques to establish and maintain boundaries. My therapist compares it to defending the gates of Minas Tirith from Grond, the Wolf's Head. Which I love because. Well. Lord of the Rings. My first love. The one that sent me down this path.

ONE THING THAT WENT WELL DURING THE DAY

I had another character creation session last night and I think it went very well. We've got an Efficient Nano that Fuses Flesh and Steel (with a dark secret). I'm psyched to see what everyone comes up with and figure out how they'll all tie together.

ONE ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL ACTION ITEM FOR THE DAY

So I've already started working on targeting my resume/cover letter for the job postings I've got on my list. I think I can wrap that up today. Be a weight off my shoulders once I do. Keep your fingers crossed for me, folks!

WHATEVER IS ON MY MIND

I'm a little more scatterbrained now than when I first started writing today's blog (I got a phone call that totally threw off my groove). So instead of a leisurely approach to today's critical action items I feel like I have to buckle down a little bit more. Y'know? Gotta focus.

All best,
