It snowed so much overnight. Driving Cassie to work a mile away took almost twenty minutes. Mustangs were not designed for the snow. Check out tomorrow's blog to see the video I took. It's intense and the reason I am absolutely not going on my walk today.

TWO THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR (SPECIFIC)

1. Woof, once again I'm running low on gratefulness. It's almost funny. I enjoy the concept of the practice, but it definitely puts in sharp relief how much of a cynic I am. Or at least I trend toward it. So I guess I'm grateful for this blog always challenging me. Yeah, that works.

2. I am grateful for my friend, Nik, who is as stalwart a companion as you could ask for. When I told him about my TTRPG setting idea he said, "That sounds fucking amazing." Hell yeah, I'll take it.

ONE THING THAT WENT WELL DURING THE DAY

Cassie and I made sure to go for our walk before the storm rolled in. Other than that, not much can be reported on. Apparently, my life moves not in days, if that makes sense. I live on a slower time scale. Or I've just been playing too much Elden Ring.

ONE ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL ACTION ITEM FOR THE DAY

So, Cassie's car battery died, so the only critical action item for the day is to go get her when her shift is over so she doesn't have to walk. Fortunately, our roommate has a car with 4-wheel drive and agreed to pick her up so we're all set.

WHATEVER IS ON MY MIND

Not much on my mind today. It's snowy as hell, cold, and I had to drive in it already. The rest of today is dedicated to bundling in a cocoon of warmth and not leaving. Except for food. And bathroom breaks. And to feed the cat. But other than that! Total stillness.

All best,
