Oh no! I legit thought I had posted a blog yesterday. Turns out I had written one phrase, "I'm getting glasses!" and then got distracted. I should say I do already have glasses, I'm just getting new glasses for the first time since covid showed up. I might even get two pairs!

TWO THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR (SPECIFIC)

1. I am grateful for my players that have been really gung-ho with my philosophy quiz. One of them even responded after taking the quiz, "I guess drunk me is a deontologist. Sober me is very much a consequentialist," which was a delightful way to learn she'd dabbled in philosophy!

2. I am grateful, as I have said a lot, that my therapist has been teaching me to better speak up for myself and establish boundaries. Yesterday my boundaries were tested (just slightly) and I feel pretty satisfied with how I handled it!

ONE THING THAT WENT WELL DURING THE DAY

After the D&D game that was not, I told the dm, "Hey, [redacted], just wanted to let you know, I felt pretty bad after last Saturday and I don't want to play anymore." They took it well at first, but then they kept apologizing and it became overwhelming. So I stepped away.

ONE ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL ACTION ITEM FOR THE DAY

Truth be told I'm feeling really anxious this morning? Like, tight in the chest, brow furrowed, all that good stuff. My Amazfit Band is telling me my stress level is 'Mild' which ... <narrows eyes> suspicious. So I'm trying to decide how best to approach today? Write and come what may?

WHATEVER IS ON MY MIND

Ooh! I see the usps van. That should mean some of Cassie's birthday presents arrived in time (as opposed to some of them which are absolutely going to show up late, scattered over the next week). That's good because she's off playing D&D right now so I can wrap her presents.

Now I just need to figure out where the wrapping paper went.

All best,
Shane Zellow
