Guys, I'm gonna level with you, I'm really tired. I had therapy this morning, ran errands (got my new glasses), wrote some of my book, and looked over the job hunt resources my advocate directed me toward. I also listened to like, so much emo music you have no idea.
TWO THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR (SPECIFIC)
1. I am grateful for the patience I had in trying to reconnect with my advocate. It took 6 months but the resources she directed me toward seem great. She explained she was stuck between undiagnosed ADHD and a very busy work schedule. Fingers crossed I can make something happen.
2. I am grateful for these new glasses holy crap. I took them on my walk and ... okay, maybe I should have waited but I wanted to jump right in. I had a bit of a hard time adjusting to the new prescription and have a bit of a headache but still, super psyched.
ONE THING THAT WENT WELL DURING THE DAY
My therapist and I covered some grounding techniques for our upcoming dives into childhood trauma. He wanted me to have some tools to have once we get into the shit. He compared it to an astronaut with a tether, which reminded me of Philosophy Tube's very intense Cosmonaut video.
ONE ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL ACTION ITEM FOR THE DAY
I already burned a lot of spoons today so I'm not sure what critical action items I still need to do today, but it's still early enough that I have no idea what I've got on the docket tomorrow. I guess ... I need to take the trash to the street?
WHATEVER IS ON MY MIND
Y'know, don't rightly know. It was a busy day. Cassie should be getting home from work and errands any minute now. I'm feeling pretty relaxed and more than a little tired. Not in a lethargic way, just in a busy-day way. I'm also very hungry.
