Just got back from my walk a little bit ago. My wife and I discussed what happened last night. We bounced around ideas for boundaries to try and make sure something like that doesn't happen again. One of the less fun bits of adulting but worth it in the long run.

TWO THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR (SPECIFIC)

1. I am still grateful for the skill and experience to look at a situation, recognize that it's not how I want to be treated, identify whether or not I need to remove myself, and finally establish boundaries to stop it from happening again. Still learning though. Still improving.

2. I am grateful for my wife who is, as always, a stalwart companion as I take longer to process certain events than I'd like. Her patience is rather legendary, a trait, I have been told, I am lucky she has. Apparently, I test a person's patience. Libelous. Or slanderous.

ONE THING THAT WENT WELL DURING THE DAY

The two-hour wait for a game of D&D that never came doesn't look like a good candidate for something that 'went well' but here we are. I had a moment where I was feeling progressively worse and growing angry and I stepped aside, walked away, and centered myself.

ONE ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL ACTION ITEM FOR THE DAY

Well, I actually have done a lot of what I wanted to do today already which is great! Two things I'd like to chip away at are 1) writing more of my module and 2) reading more Numenera books for my upcoming game (and possible sequel module?)

WHATEVER IS ON MY MIND

Woops! I totally thought I'd finished writing the blog. I got to "What's on your mind?" and immediately blanked. I looked at that header and went "I have never had a thought in my life." Some days just be like that.

All best,
