John Wick: Chapter 4 was a wild ride. I've loved these movies since the first one was released and I had to hoof it for almost an hour to the movie theater. I'm blown away by how the series has expanded, grown, and evolved into this ... again, wild thing. #Keanusaunce
TWO THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR (SPECIFIC)
1. I am grateful for ... hmmn. I don't know. Today at least. I'm scheduling a meeting with another one of my players this week. They are one of those wild-card players that has such a vivid and wild imagination so I'm excited to see what they come up with.
2. I am grateful for the pendulum swinging away from MCU-style movies and back toward ... not sure what to call them. Movies like John Wick, Creed, and Top Gun. It's just such a breath of fresh air to be excited about movies again and not just feeling a sense of obligation toward them.
ONE THING THAT WENT WELL DURING THE DAY
Going to see John Wick: Chapter 4 was good for more reasons than just seeing a good movie, it was good to go on a date with my wife. We've just been spinning our wheels for so long what with the covid pandemic and everything else just kinda carrying on, y'know?
ONE ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL ACTION ITEM FOR THE DAY
I have a doctor's appointment later today (nothing serious (I don't think (now I'm anxious))). My natural anxiety aside I'm not worried. I am a firm believer in check-ups and the like. I have a friend who waits until all issues have to be treated medically. I don't want that.
WHATEVER IS ON MY MIND
Oh, not too much. My antidepressants are doing their job but the ongoing job hunt is taking its toll. I grew up with a lot of anxiety and a shaky sense of self-worth so with this many rejections it's been hard to resist taking it personally. Chin up and all that.
