Hey, gang! My allergies are KILLING me. My eyes, they burn, my nose, it runs, my throat, it itches. Huzzah! But we're here, we're writing, WE ARE MAKING IT WORK. But also I would like to take some meds, crawl back into bed, and wait for pollen levels to drop. Y'know, like an adult.
TWO THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR (SPECIFIC)
1. I am grateful for bullet journals. I know, betrayal. I'm not giving up on CGP Grey's Theme Journal format for the blog. I'm using the Bullet Journal method to prep for my Numenera game and I really like it. It seems like a great way to have a physical reference guide to keep track of everything.
2. I am grateful for taking a step back. Twitter finally got too toxic for me. My account is still there, obviously, but I logged out on my phone which was the real soul drain, waking up and going to bed doomscrolling. Now, when I do hang out on Twitter I feel my mood dropping in real time.
ONE THING THAT WENT WELL DURING THE DAY
I've been wobbling on my chores and blog and, really everything, but yesterday was a pretty solid day, at least for chores. Sometimes you have to celebrate the little things, like doing laundry and vacuuming. One day at a time, right?
ONE ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL ACTION ITEM FOR THE DAY
I'd like to get some writing done on the novel. There's this one scene that's been wanting to get out for a while now. I had a chapter ending that just wasn't working and so I sat on it for a few days and brainstormed until something clicked. I just have to actually sit down and write it.
WHATEVER IS ON MY MIND
My eyes are watering so I guess it's good that I can type with my eyes closed. God I want my meds to kick in soon. Please. I'm ready to beg. Outside of that? I'm frustrated that the job postings haven't yielded any new opportunities. Just gotta keep on keepin' on, y'know?
