So after many months of disconnecting my battery every time I parked my car, I finally have had it repaired. That said the dealership said there was still some corrosion. But it's fine. They said that it was fine. THEY SAID EVERYTHING WAS FINE GUYS OH GOD I HOPE IT'S FINE.

TWO THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR (SPECIFIC)

1. I am grateful that my car got repaired nonetheless. It was my grandfather's so it's got a strong emotional connection. He was a tough old "Leave it to Beaver"/"Andy of Mayberry" type patriarch. And he made a mean pasta sauce. He was probably the single biological family member I ... ah, hell I loved my grandpa.

2. I am grateful for EMDR therapy. I did my first session of EMDR on Tuesday and it was ... weird and kinda hard but ... like, it worked? It legit worked. Fucking wild that it worked but I felt sincerely better afterward? It's been surreal how different a place my mental space has become in a very short time.

ONE THING THAT WENT WELL DURING THE DAY

Well, I went and got my car back from the dealership and was assured the battery drain was taken care of so I'll take that as something that went well. And I wrote another chapter of my novel! It is hard, feeling like the world is against my job hunt but I'm trying to keep creative.

ONE ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL ACTION ITEM FOR THE DAY

Ah, boy, so let's see, the day is mostly over so what needs to be done tomorrow? I've got my next chapter of my novel, I have my Numenera game (I've been reading about the Dark Triad to develop my villains), and the job hunt. I can probs fill a day with that.

But, let's take the "One" in "One Critical Action Item" seriously and say that my primary goal tomorrow is to take character backstories and start finding places to seed them into the plot. Question for anyone out there who writes adventures, do you have any advice on adapting a home game into a module or campaign?

WHATEVER IS ON MY MIND

Springboarding off the last thing I said, I'm curious about adapting home games into modules. Because I'm at cross purposes. I want to create a game that functions for this group of players and the characters they've created. But I also want it to function as a module for any group of players with any set of characters. Advice?

All best,
