Hey, Gang! Happy Wednesday. Woke up this morning feeling good. Feeling a little anxiety from acknowledging that but sometimes that's just how it be and sometimes how it do. Therapy went well yesterday, I started my bullet journal (still ironing out the kinks) and got some writing and worldbuilding done. Score!

TWO THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR (SPECIFIC)

1. I am grateful for the Nutritionist I met with the other week. It's made tracking calories a more involved process (now I'm watching out for saturated fats) but I'm feeling pretty good about how it's going. Also, Cassie and I have been trying a bunch of new Mediterranean recipes.

2. I am grateful for the bullet journal. It's a bit early to sing its praises, but I appreciate the reflection process/daily planner combo. I'm still not sure what will be most helpful (I really do seem to get hung up on optimization, don't I?) but I've taken the past week to try stuff out.

ONE THING THAT WENT WELL DURING THE DAY

It's always nice when there's more than one thing that went well to choose from. Yesterday was a solid (if meandering) therapy session. The thing I'm most satisfied with is getting back into my old writing rhythm of aggressively tracking daily wordcount. Doesn't work for everyone, but it seems to work for me.

ONE ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL ACTION ITEM FOR THE DAY

It's about time to dive back into the Job Hunt in earnest. My hope is that the Bullet Journal will help me keep track of everything. I struggle to sort through the dozen of tabs I end up opening and end up overwhelmed. I'll admit I'm anxious about it. Lots of failure but we're still here.

WHATEVER IS ON MY MIND

I'm always up against the wall when it comes to being hopeful. What I'm hopeful for is that the modular nature of the bullet journal will help me out here, much like this blog. If I fall behind it doesn't explode the whole project, y'know?

All best,
