Hey, Gang! Hope you're all doing well on this fine ... rainy day here where I am. Got some good writing done today, feeling good about stretching my creative muscles. Checked the job boards. No updates. Just gotta keep my eyes out, right?

TWO THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR (SPECIFIC)

1. I am grateful for ... ah hell, I dunno. Every day feels like it blurs into the last. I'm grateful for my meds keeping my emotional health afloat while my life kinda goes nowhere. I don't want to imagine how I'd be feeling without them.

2. I am grateful for my wife sitting down and playing Planescape: Torment with me and reading every other character's dialogue. I never beat the game when I played in high school because of a glitch and it's fun to try again (15 years later christ).

ONE THING THAT WENT WELL DURING THE DAY

I finished one of the half-dozen books I've been reading. Always feels good to finish a book, especially on a writing day. It almost makes me feel like I'm accomplishing something. Apologies if I sound bitter. I kinda am. But that's something I can't control so here we are.

ONE ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL ACTION ITEM FOR THE DAY

Between today and tomorrow, I'd really like to start jotting down some notes for a Numenera Module. I wonder if anyone has ever released an adventure piecemeal. Someone must have done that? Right? One chapter at a time. Sure would make my life easier.

WHATEVER IS ON MY MIND

Yesterday was the one-year anniversary of my Covid 0 Day. One of my wife's co-workers (who refused to stay home and refused to wear a mask) passed it along to her and then to me. It was heinous and lasted about a month. Two months for Cassie. I'm glad I managed to go a year without another infection. Small favors as the world falls apart.
All best,

THE BOOK NOOK

Star Wars and Conflict Resolution
Noam Ebner, Jen Reynolds

Went out on a limb on this one. Mostly pretty satisfied. Some essays were less engaging than others but that's just how it goes. I think there was a lot of solid information that I can take and apply to make my ttrpgs more dynamic, more interesting. But who knows. At least it was interesting, right?
