I can tell we're entering monsoon season because it went from sunny to gloomy really fast. I had to turn on my desklamp to see my keyboard and my desk is literally in front of my window. I love having my desk next to the window so I can watch the world.
TWO THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR (SPECIFIC)
I am grateful for my word count tracker. I mentioned it before but it makes my writing life so much more manageable. Today, for instance, between the gloom and some chronic health issues, it's so nice to say, "I just have 430 words left. That's all and I can call it for the day."
2. I am grateful for the opportunity to give myself some grace. It's been a rough time for a long while and today I'm really struggling to hold it all together, and that's okay. I'm still here and I've still got good work to show for it.
ONE THING THAT WENT WELL DURING THE DAY
Since meeting with the Nutritionist I've been endeavoring to keep my Saturated Fat intake to >21 grams and yesterday I finally nailed it. Gotta get that bad cholesterol down. #healthyliving and all that good stuff.
ONE ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL ACTION ITEM FOR THE DAY
At this point, with my anxiety, I just want to finish up my writing for the day. Sometimes you gotta know when to aim for the small victories.
WHATEVER IS ON MY MIND
Whoo boy. So I had a rough day. Then people showed up. Then people called. Then Cassie showed up with a chocolate bar that was packing 8gr of saturated fat. So ... I think I'll just save that for after dinner. Parse it out over a day or two. I'm so much more tired than when I started writing this blog.
